Hello, living room is in a bit of a state, previous owner hadn’t applied plaster properly and large sections of it are blown. After scraping to remove all the loose plaster, which compound is the best to feather in these areas? I’m not an expert at plastering but have a little bit of experience. Cheers

it don’t look much like plaster for a start, there’s cracks and bubbles and more loose stuff to come off by the looks of it.
looks like filler thats been spread over more filler?
but in answer to your question i’d use toupret filler, which you will need to sand back.

That’s definitely plaster, it was applied after a damp treatment. It’s the salt resistant type. The walls were only stripped up to 1.5m from the floor. Damp company did a terrible job and have refused to answer my calls/emails.

thanks for the suggestion, I will look into that kind of filler
