Best concrete sealer

It can be painted but is not suitable for areas below your DPC.
You would have been better either adding a waterproofing agent to the pour or spaying the wet pour down with a waterproofing agent this would have sealed and toughened the slab up!

the slb will not be covered and I want to stop the frost/water getting in to it.

At this time of year you've nowt to worry about. It'll cure just fine on it's own, don't worry :D .

If the slab has been freshly laid I would saturate the area with water and cover it over with sheeting. This too will help it toughen up. As hotrod has mentioned, this time of year not likely to be effected by frost.

Should be tough enough. C35 mix with fibre, on 3 inches of hardcore wacked down and the concrete is 8 inches deep, its for a kennel so It's well overkill.

I'm looking to make it last though.

So I'm looking to seal it thinking that it will protect the concrete from the dog urine?

Good idea/ Bad idea?

Thanks

Jon

Do it once, do it properly.

I've no plans to do it again!!! Cost £750 so far for a large block of concrete!

:D

Any concrete floor paint would work, put down a coat of 50/50 water/PVA solution before the paint (allow to dry first). Couple of coats needed.

What do you mean the slab will not be covered, are you gonna let the dogs get rained on?
