quick look at a job i'm taking on next week (many old refurbs) and noticed that some new taps that require fitting will be connecting to a solvent welded (looks like 15mm) plastic under the bath. There is no current fit so i'm assuming some sort of push-fit connection. Any help on this 22 - 15mm connection appreciated, cheers sminkie

Looking into it in more detail it is apparent that the supply is probably the ABS pipe that's been knocking about the forums, any ideas on connecting to it or is it a rip-out job??

Many thanks guys, will try get the compress although I would like to rip it out, it's just persuading the stuborn customer!!

Taps are bath unit 22 tails with shower hose

The plastic you're on about is old abs pipe they used in the 70's when there was a copper shortage.

Do not touch this pipe until you have the fittings at hand.

The fitting you need is a 3/8 to 15mm compression.
