best filler to use when varnishing

does anybody know if there is a filler to use on skirtings that are going to be clear varnished as the internal mitres are quite poor and they have been countersunk and screwed to the wall :D

There are many types of wood filler on the market a trip to your local decorater centre may be a good idea and perhaps take a off-cut of the you have used and match the colour you need.
They normally come in small 250ml pots might be a good idea to purchase the two closest colours and mix small amounts to get best match.

i would go for antique pine or light to medium ok
the filler needs to be a darker browny yellow colour to match the colour of the pine in 2 years time when it will be an antique pine colour

do not match the colour now you will regret it ;)
