4x4 wooden treated posts..60 cm deep holes dug..have sand, cement, gravel(10mm) & mixer ready to roll.
However, I am getting somewhat conflicting advice as to what the best mix is in terms of ratios.
I plan to put some gravel chips in the bottom of the hole to sit the base of the posts on..the post bases are currently sitting in wood preserver..but what mix to make up?

So what's the best mix in your opinion?

4:4:1 ratio will be just fine......mixed well and tamped down.
Brace the posts with large stones if necessary and all will be well, and leave them for a few days.
John :)

thanks Burnerman.. 4 sand - 4 aggregate - 1 cement ..yes?
