Hi, I wondered if anyone has suggestions for shims for 100mm door hinges please ?
It's for a fire door

Either home made or bought ?
I've seen some plastic ones on screwfix for 7.99
Thanks

You say it's a fire door.

Plastic fittings would melt in a fire.

you'll be fitting intumescent pads under the hinges, which bring them out a bit.

Usually 1mm or 0.5mm

I don't know if you're allowed to double up

And fire hinges are quite thick, especially lift-offs which I prefer.

Why do you need to shim out? Is it a rickety old lining (frame)? Change it.

You'll also be needing intumescent and possibly smoke strips on the frame or door edge whch also take up slack.

You can double up if needs be, providing you use intumescent hinge pads
