Hello
Moving house with a garden of some size compared to where I am now. I’ve a black and decker strimmer for the edges of the lawn, grass only.
New house has a lot of brambles and stinging nettles.
Looking for some advice as to what is best to tackle this?
Battery, petrol, the wheels ones?
Cheers

For this you really need a brush cutter, that's the straight shaft trimmer if you like, with a saw blade on the end.
I use a Honda UMK petrol machine but they are expensive......but very effective. You could consider hiring one of course to get you going.

I do footpath clearance and use a 2x18v Mikita with metal blade and a Makita 18v folding hedge trimmer for the sides.

Hedge trimmer, sweeping side to side motion.
Once you've got it low enough you should dig it all out. Use a fork with a metal shaft.
