Hi we have some new wooden worktops and mosaic tiles with white grout.

I've left the gap between the worktops and 1st row of tiles as I wasn't sure what to use. i didn't want to get grout all over the worktops adn I guess grout may crack as the worktop swells/shrinks.

But then again sealent can be pretty messy and can go mouldy.

What is the best to use. I'm tempted for the grout as i know it is less messy (or easier to wipe excess of with damp cloth).

Any advice?

if you think that your tops are going to be moving loads id get them fixed!

I don't think they are going to move loads!

But with grout don't you aways get a hairline crack where it meets the worktop?

Not too fussed about a hairline crack to be honest

Use Bal micro-ban sealant, or similar.
Silicon will allow for a small movement, grout will not.
