Hi I want to paint part of the outside of my house. It's part brickwork and part Render (if that's the correct term). I want to repaint the render White to freshen it up. What would be the best type of paint for this.

Thanks,
JD

Dulux weathershield smooth masonry or Johnstone's Stormshield Smooth Masonry.

Both water based...........sheet up well ;)

Thanks for the advice Growler, what would you paint it with, paint brush or roller, the render is a smooth finish.

Thnaks again,

JD

Johnstones gets my vote too but I think crown stronghold is better

As for Dulux masinry I hate the stiff..its too thin and doesnt cover...also skins up in the tray as your using it

Cut in with a brush and use a long pile roller.

I also used Sandtex a few weeks ago and I was amazed to find just how hard this water based stuff dries.
