Hi where is the best/usual place for the water mains to enter a house. Also is there a fitting you can put in the 110mm duct to seal it to the 25mm mdpe pipe. I have heard fix a foam isn't recommended.

Typical location for a cold water pipe would be in the kitchen area, near where the sink is, but seems them all over the place, utility rooms, under stairs etc.
A good way I've seen it done was using a blanking plate with a suitable sized hole in it then a rubber grommet to seal against the water pipe
