Hi folks,

I've got a chimney breast which I need to chase some TV cables in to.

What's the best combination of products to use here? I was thinking of using something like a jointing compound to set the cables in and bring the channel up to a reasonable depth, then go over it with multi?

Or is there no need for the jointing stuff? Just use easifill or more layers of multi?

Cheers,
Rich

not sure if what i did was right,
but i the wall to fit some trunking the just skimmed over the top.
fitted a brushed facial and fused spur at top and run cables up the trunking (split)

loply,

Be aware of the cable safe zone.

No jointing compound.

Determine the position of the accessory

Plumb a line down or up (to pick up power/switch and the TV cable.)

cut the plumbline plaster back to brickwork at a min. Sometimes brick has to be cut for a deeper depth.

fix cable(s) with appropriate clips

metal channel over - fix with dabs of whatever plaster is handy.

Best practice to fill with float and then skim.
