I’m adding 2 base units (600 wide) either side of my washer and dryer. The side up against a wall I have an end panel for.

My question is what is the best was to fix this to the wall? I was going to screw through the cabinet into the end panel which is normal practice, but the plasterboard wall has no studs running vertical in this area.

At the back of the unit I’m going to have to run a 34x34 strip on the wall as the unit is slightly forward to line with the integrated washer. Still screw the brackets into that.

You can fix to plasterboard , make sure any timber baton does not hinder the room for washer .

Was going to keep the batten to ~650mm.

Okay, I’ll drill a pilot through the side of the cabinet and end panel and just plug the plasterboard wall.
