Best way to strip gloss

Hi, ive got an old door frame that needs stripping, I'm assuming its painted with gloss, it's peeled in places an showing a light brown colour underneath. Whats the quickest and easiest way to strip the paint off?

Ive already decorated do changing it isn't sn option,

Having tried paintstripper and a heat gun in the past, a heat gun is much better. Both are time consuming so if you don't have the patience, there are door stripping places that will do one for about 30 quid.
