We are looking to rework our existing patio and would love to achieve the same ground level between the inside of our house and the outside.

Is it possible to chop out under our existing bi fold doors, remove the cill and replace with one which would allow for the new patio?

Is it a French drain that would be required etc?

Thanks for any help/suggestions you can give.

Use a linear drain -a specialist type of ACO google bifold drain, threshold drain, slot drain.

Thanks.

So the cill is kept as normal and not changed. You just run a specialist type of ACO drain along the front edge of the aluminum front of the bi-fold doors?
If you have any examples I'd really appreciate it please.
I was originally under the impression that the patio HAD to be 2 bricks below the DPC (150mm) but it sounds like this is not the case if done correctly with the correct drainage.
