the locking mechinism has not released the bottom bolt on the entry door, not the sliding panels, where it locks into the frame. any idea how this can be released? these doors are double glazed units approx 3metres in total wide opening a room to the garden. ta maxhod

Depends on the lock style, do you know the make, is the bolt hook shaped?, have you tried releasing the sliding door to help release it? Has the door moved, any drop or swelling could cause the bolt to bind.

thanks foxhole for response. tried to move sliding section no luck. It is the streight vertical bolt that locks into the bottom frame that is not allowing the single 'normal' door to open inwards. I have sprayed wd40 eveyware around the door mechinism. maxhod
