The Potyty 10 day wait was because they had run out of gas valve cables. In the end they got BG to fit the last one they had .

But on Wednesday this week someone called me because Vaillant would be FIVE days before they could get to her next monday. As it was an Ecotec for which we dont keep major spare parts, I explained that we might need a part we could not get until next week anyway.

No doubt they did not have access to the priority number for service department. The very few times I've had to call them on the old ecomax pro boilers, it has always been next day at the latest. As for spares if local supplier can't get them then overnight from Vaillant usually.

This is the problem with Vaillant handing over service etc to Glow Worm w******.

Fortunately for me I get to bypass this lot and deal direct with the 'proper' Vaillant dept
