This is usually as a result of a blocked plate heat exchanger.

Normally on DHW the gauge should be at around 60° but if it goes up to 79-80-90 ° C then its the blockage.

thanks for your reply,would you know what sort of temp loss i would have between flow and return on plate heat exchanger?and what temp loss would indicate scaled dhw heat exchanger.

Under normal conditions the differential across the main heat exchanger is about 15 degrees.

If the pump is failing or the heat exchanger is blocked this rises dramatically until the flow is operating the overheat stat on that model.
