Pull in wedges will not work when fitted to the sides of a top hung sash, it is physically impossible, they are only fitted inbetween a pair of hinges ie across the top if top hung and down the side if side hung.
As I mentioned in my previous post and checked it again today, that the sash is very sealed from the bottom where the handle is. The gap is widening a way from the bottom toward the top. Hence, I believe, if these wedges tightly close the top, the rest of the sash will be tightly sealed as well i.e the sides.
This is just an update, the “pull in wedges” that Bullet sent me did work, I fitted some on one window today and it is now closing tightly, many thanks to all who replied the this thread.
