I have bitumen floor throughout ground floor.90% of it goes straight to the wall and I'm finding it is pushing the moisture up the walls. ?. I have no DPM and not planning on doing so because I am starting to believe a 1900 year property solid wall lime plaster structure should be able to breath? My Question is...if I remove a the edges of bitumin against the wall and replace with a breathable maybe lime based self level compound then would this be a solution to prevent moisture rising to the wall?? Please see my profile for more house info thanks
