I found this mess after clearing a bedroom cupboard. The house and outside wall is not damp as we have a dehumidifier. Any idea how to prevent this ? It's a mystery why it happens as the room is dry.

You breathe - which is generally a common reason for condensation to gather in the corners of un-aired areas, especially bedroom corners. If you don't have other reasons for condensation, like wet washing or steam from a nearby bathroom, etc, you should be able to solve the issue by getting better air flow into the cupboard, or even using some of those cheap moisture traps fro the pound shop (which really do help).

Clean off the mould with a diluted bleach mixture, which will kill the spores, before rinsing with clean water and drying thoroughly. Repaint the areas if necessary and the use of an anti mould paint would also help.

Airflow is the answer. Warm air touches cold surface and then you have condensation. None moving air becomes stagnant like behind wardrobes and cupboards etc.
