I have had problems with pump vibration on my central heating system and my builder thinks it is from pipes touching the floorboards. He has wrapped this black plastic backed hessian round the hot pipes to and from the pump and also packed the various pipes around the boards. The question is , is it safe to do this or will the heat catch it alight? Thanks.
