My plumber just had to open up the sand/cement floor screed over twin 22mm copper ch pipes to look for a leak, at the same time removing the black plastic and "hessian" (?) sheathing from the top of the pipes.
Leak's all fixed; how should I expect him to be re-instating this sheathing? Presumably the sheathing is to allow expansion and contraction of the pipes? Expose full depth of the pipe and re-wrap? Some sort of de-bonding layer on the top. Or not needed to reinstate over a short length - around 12" in this case.
