black polished floor tiles

Hi everyone need a bit of advice have fitted my new white kitchen and very proud of it and now I want to lay down floor tiles which I have done before but the problem I have is that I want to lay down black gloss polished tiles but have heard they are a nightmare cause they scratch so easily and look old within days of laying them and that its hard to get the scratches out does anyone have any advice or experience of said tiles
