IIRC, both these types from screwfix meet the same standards.
It may be just me, but blue poly seems to be quite 'stretchy' and it takes a lot to tear it when messing about with it. But in use performance should be the same
Funny you should say that Mik. I remember it being the other way round when I worked at a merchants; 1200g - blue, 1000g - black, and 500g - clear.
But that could have been a local policy used to differentiate for the staff as we cut it off the roll and I'm going back 15+ years. Always used blue visqueen on site though and still do.
