bleeding worcester bosch

Hi guys,
Nephew just phoned, he has refilled his CH after a drain down. The vented WB is noisy and runs for around a minute.

There is some sort of tube for bleeding and instructions advise to collect the water during bleeding but they cant find any valve to open. Described to me is a plastic nut which holds tube on and is only finger tight, a couple of turns makes the tube very loose and they are concerned that undoing it further may start something messy.

So far google has not helped yet. they have found mention of 'autovent' but don't believe they have that.

Have they missed something? I haven't seen it yet.

They spent several hours last night and this morning doing that with nothing coming out, the noise seems to be in the boiler only.

Don't quite understand but turning room stat right down then cycling heating on and off several times for 5mins each step, did the trick.

I don't understand as the boiler or pump don't run.

Info came from the original installer.

The pump would have run, the air rises and disperses through the open vent or rads...it wouldnt have been much.

From memory the tube is on a plastic part which is a bayonet valve.

You turn it slowly anti clockwise and the bayonet system let it come outwards to open the valve.

But a DIYer should not be opening the boiler casing!
