Hi,
I have gradually over the years noticed my radiators either going cold all over or going cold at the bottom.I have started taking them off the wall & attempting to clean them out but the water runs clear very quickly and the radiator still feels very heavy when empty.I have also found the supply pipes blocked with a black residue which I have cleared with welding wire & an air compressor!!My question is how do I clear the residue out of the rads.I have filled one with water & blocked the outlets then banged it up & down but it doesn't shift. For info I have put 3 lots of system flush & it still wont flow properly.
Would caustic soda shift it?
My pipes are 10mm micro bores & we have a Vaillent combi boiler.
So there you go.Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks for reading this cry for help
