hi
Due to my disorganisation I’ve left a load of celcon blocks (the soft aerated ones) uncovered outside all winter. They look pretty wet as you’d expect. Reckon I’m ok cracking on and using them to build my extension or am I best chucking them, or maybe chucking just the top ones which will have had the most of the weather?
I’ve read different things like possible sulphate attack, but am hoping I can just use them without any major risks
Cheers
John

They will shrink when they dry out, so you're best keeping the wet ones to one side and wait for them to dry before you use them.

Nice one, thanks. Sounds like I don’t have to bin any which is good (y)

Re stack them in a sunny and windy place ( - though not Tenerife) with gaps between all blocks and put a cover over but not touching the top of the stacks.

It may be prudent to put some exmet reinforcement in every other bed joint.
