celcon or concrete blocks

Hi everyone,,
I have started a small lean to extension. I decided upon celcon blocks as an ext wall with a timber frame construction. After laying the foundation course i was happy with my start but after talking to a few people i have been put off them ( mainly about their difficulty in rendering ) but also their general weakness I am now thinking of using standard concrete blocks on top of the one course of celcon, or just knocking them over and starting again.......any thoughts would be greatly appreciated

Use lightweighy aggregate blocks such as fibolites or hemelites.
