Blockwork either side of french doors

Would like to fit French doors with side panels width 2400mm. Opening available 3400mm.

My question is about the block work on both sides. Should I do a solid blockwork pillar on both sides (blocks laid down) or cavity section?

Just close cavity but don't forget to run your vertical dpc

Build the sides up with cavity and closers.
wouldnt it have saved a lot of work if you increased the size of the side panels.

Windows and side panels are off the shelf. I have got the largest opening available.
