question from a friend

they've got a section of about 1 to 2 sq meters of blown bricks (about 2 - 5 mm has come off the face of each brick)

what are the implications of not getting them replaced - i said it shouldn't matter too much - apply some water seal over the blown bricks and worry about it another day...

BUT what'd do you reckon??

cheers

You could carefully chisel them all out and reset them in reverse?

LOL keyplayer :D

shirley it would be easier to replace them?? - arf arf arf

nah that's not going to happen... the area is too big - he'd get a *ahem* professional in to do it but only if it NEEDS doing.

i reckon they'd be alright if the loose parts are removed and the area sealed but i've never had any experience on this so i can't be sure.

cheers

Well call me a cheapskate then lol. Worth investigating causes tho - this is usually caused by penetrating water freezing within the brick, what state is the gutter in?

never took you for a skint skateboarder  as for the gutter - it's a 1st floor flat (4 stories) so no gutter.

cheers once again masona :D
