I want to skim the whole wall.

I have got 5L of blue grit left over, can i simply put blue grit onto the wall (some of the wall is exposed brick) and then use multifinish to skim?

I was going to use bonding coat to fill holes in walls before blue grit

Cheers

The top of stairs ln damp meter say 6% ans the bottom says 21% (which probably explains thr paint flaking)

Is top section ok to blue grit and skim onto existing surface? Not too fussed donw stairs as much. I could put a 3mm vertical strip of timber and skim up to that?

Plastering onto a damp wall with any gypsum based plaster is likely a fools errand. I'd be tempted to clean the brick up as much as possible and leave it exposed

What about the top of the stairs where it doesnt seem to be an issue with damp?

See the picture above
