These were used to reduce expansion/contraction noise when a metal radiator hangs on metal brackets. Does anyone know if they are still available and where can I get them please (er any colour will be fine).

Ah ! most helpful.
Try a merchants and see if they have a damaged radiator that they would remove the bits from.
Just rap a few turns of insulation tape around the bracket where the radiator hangs. It will do the same job as the 'plastic thingy'.
