Hi all

Am wondering if you can help me.

I have a BEKO WMA 642W washing machine which is around 3 months old. Today I went into the kitchen in the dark and the washing machine was midway through its spin cycle. I noticed there were blue sparks coming from under the machine as it was spinning. Not all the time, just a sporadic burst ever few seconds. This may have been happening since I got the machine, but I may not have noticed when the room was not dark.

Is this normal? Should I be contacting the supplier or am I worrying over nothing?

Many thanks in advance for any advice you can give.

get a chair, and a drink, sit and watch.

yes it is normal (but sitting watching isn't)

Ha!

Thanks for the quick response. Just my paranoia then I guess, just never watched a washing machine in the dark before!

Thanks again

could be worse, you could have had a brand new toploader, they smell on first few spins (clutch wearing in)
