Hi
I have a BMW 116d 2012 keyless ignition model and have lost my spare key,
I have bought a spare key off ebay
Can i get this key to work on my car by having it re reprogrammed ?
Many thanks..

It used to be possible to programme bmw keys via the obd port, there was a big theft problem because of this and maybe still is but i have not read anything recently.
You will get your pants well and truly pulled down at a main dealer for key programming so id look for a local mobile car locksmith who will probably be able to advise better.

Unless someone happens to know the answer, try a BMW owners website, it must be a common problem.

One of my cars has an on-board computer and can program its own keys and remotes, provided you have at least two originals and the full instructions. The local one-make specialist (not a dealer) will program keys for £50 using their diagnostic laptop, and so will the independent locksmith.
