Hi folks,
I was hoping you could offer some guidance please. I have a very large loft which I am hoping to have insulated and then boarded so that the floor is firm. Currently one half of the loft is used for storage and the other half - under the eaves - has some redundant plumbing (former water tanks which have been removed).

I was wanting to know what are the main things to consider for such a job - i.e. how the floor should be laid, thickness and type of insulation, other important factors that I should consider, how to floor between joists etc.

I am also thinking of insulating up into the roof area. Is this recommended and again, what are the main factors to bear in mind please?

All help is very welcome. Many thanks.

Hi,
It would be worth putting your topic into the search facility, as there is so much past stuff available and you can research it at your leisure, then come back with any specific queries.
Have fun as you are onto a sensible and probably relatively easy plan!
