Boiler Advice - Worcester Heatslave Junior

In freaky twist a friend inisisted it was the 3 way valve and suggested "touching it" to see if it was working. To humour him I touched the 3 way valve and turned the switch to on. Blow me, if it didn't all fire up like a good un.

Now it's 'working' the resistance across the two terminals is 5.4 with multimeter set at 20k.

So... could the 3 way valve be at fault? Can the 3 way valve prevent the gas valve opening?

Ahh a proper boiler. Stop before I get too excited :) I fancy driving all the way down there just to get my hands on it.
Well done Namsag the power is strong with you my boy

Stan

I know she looks good with her front exposed but I'm afraid to say she's just not that kind of boiler!

Nansag did f**king well didn't he. Bet he used to take teacher an apple! :-)

Na once you had worked on a few of them they stuck in your memory and you used to avoid those addresses like the plague. Overheat stats where always going and remember changing a pump on one that was only fitted inches from the floor. My french improved immensely that day and lost a bit of weight from the blood pouring from the cuts. Thankfully we only had a few on contract.

LOL! I'm still impressed.

Is the overheat stat jubilee clipped to a pipe on the top left hand side?

So what do you reckon? Solenoid sound dicky?

Yeah left hand side two wire from it ( green dot in middle of it?).. been a long time since worked on one but yeah if you where getting 240v at valve it should have fired unless soleniod not lifting...

The 3 ports on these are just honeywell divertor valves with L.N.E. (with no switches in it) that give prioty hot water to heat the stored hot water .

Its been a long time since woked on one can`t remember any oddity`s regards ther normal working`s
