don't suppose you could be arsed to give me a step by step guide to do this ?
do I have to drain the system for example ? do those sensors screw right into the pipe ? i.e when I remove one does this mean water will start to pee out.

Dont change the mechanical parts! Exchange the wires.

new developments ; I had been able to obtain some hot water if I opened the tap just a little. Took ages to run a bath but it was workable.
Came home tonight and was unable to get any hot water at all and noticed that the boiler is definately not firing up with same intensity as it normally does. Heating is coming on but again isn't as warm as it should be.
any ideas ? looks like it isn't burning as much gas as normal.
