I had a potterton performa 28i combination boiler installed last xmas and it is coming to the end of the warranty period soon. The company heatteam are a part of Potterton and cover any work that needs doing doing the warranty period. They also offer further extended warranty for £99 a year. I have already called them out once during the extended warranty period because the boiler was noisy and they replaced the diverter value.
Given the cost of calling out a corgi qualified person, do people think it's good value. Does anyone know about the failure rated of boilers in the first few years.
my house insurance covers me for boiler failure in any case so I guess the issue is: what is the likely chance that the boiler goes wrong but without a loss of hot water/heating failure?
cheers
