Hi all!
I have a condensing boiler, and I have recently fitted a wireless thermostat.
My simple question is: does the thermostat override the settings on the boiler (the on/offs that used to control our heating) or do they work in conjunction with one another (ie the thermostat will control the temperatures only when the settings on the boiler tell it to fire, the rest of the time it's off as it was pre-thermostat)
If the latter is the case, would there be any problem with setting the boiler to permanently on, and just letting the thermostat control the heating completely, when the house is up to temperature the thermostat will stop demanding heat, and the boiler will oblige, even though it's set to permanently on.
Or am I missing something?!
Thanks
