Boiler Controls for Vaillant Ecotec Pro 28

i had a Vaillant boiler installed earlier in the year and need some controls now that central heating is needed.My usual fitter is fully booked for several weeks ahead.Are there any plug-in controls that can be purchased alongside the 150 timer(or similar)?I am quite happy to pay extra for controls that my mum (85) will find simple to operate.
