Hi

My boiler causes my floodlight to come in every time it kicks in when dark

Is there anyway to resolve this, apart from relocating
The floodlight?

The floodlight responds to changes in heat patterns

The installation instructions will say NOT to install near boiler or extract fans.

You could try masking off areas of the PIR sensor but the only proper way to fix this is move it (ie to follow the makers instructions.)

Was the floodlight installed recently by an electrician - if so get him back and tell him to fit it correctly !

The boiler would have come with instructions about how far the flue outlet could be from other things.

Was it, or was it not, installed in accordance with those instructions as regards distance from the PIR?

I think you're scraping a barrel. Such instructions are all related to (gas and fire) safety. I've never seen any, and would not expect to see any, which say that one should not position a flue within 'eyesight' of a PIR. One would very rarely have any sensible option to re-site a flue so as to avoid the 'eyes' of an existing PIR so, in practice, it would inevitably be the PIR that had to move!

Kind Regards, John

Has this been happening ever since the boiler was installed or has it started to happen recently. ?

If the latter then the boiler's efficiency may have changed resulting in hotter flue gases than when it was installed and a service check on the boiler may be needed

If you need the lamp to be where it is then fit a remote PIR sensor that covers the area but cannot see eithe the flue or the lamp.
