Boiler has a mind of its own

A Gas Combination Central heating and hot water boiler.
Working well for years, then stops.
Serviced then worked again.
A few days later, stopped.
Replaced several parts and it started again.
Ran for a few days later, stopped.
All systems working OK up to point of continuous combustion of gas.
Ignition and gas fired up for a short while.
Lockout Reset, boiler failed to ignite.
Gas Safe engineer unsure.
The Gas Valve?
