Boiler ignition on SIME 100 frendly format

Help, In order for the boiler to ignite, I need to bang the side of the cover. At first it was just the odd knock, however its got to the stage that at every time the boiler needs to ignite whether its hot water or Central heating I need to bang the front or side casing to get the unit to ignite. Any thoughts.

My thought is that you need to get a competent CORGI to locate the fault and correct it.

Probably nothing too serious.
