Boiler kettling treatment

Wonder if someone can provide some advice on treating boiler kettling or possible causes.

My Potterton suprima 40l is kettling a fair bit. All radiators heat up fine and equally, it's just the boilers that's noisy. The kettling occurs on both heating and hot water. Abv valve set 0.45 and pump on 2. System was cleaned a year ago x400.

I did measure flow and return at the boiler and found the differential to be about 14 degrees.

I have currently tried x200 which made no difference. Try pump on 3 made no difference. I am not sure what else I can try, so any advice would be appreciated?

I did exactly that, this week on a Micron which was kettling badly. 3 minutes later it was silent.
Proper Fairy though.

And what effect on the steel components would the chlorides in dish washing liquids have? Only asking.......as there are system silencers available albeit for more money.

The first thing that I would want to do in a case like this is to measure the power input to the boiler.

Normally that would need an RGI but the OP can do it at the gas meter.

Look up the FAQ for gas rating at the meter. Set the boiler to run constantly such as by turning room stat up to 30 C and do the measurement.

The Suprima 40 is rated at 12 kW output so the input power to be measured would be about 16 kW as its not very efficient.

I guarantee it works. Literally a couple of minutes after it went in, the boiler went silent.

It ruins the system but you get to replace it.

A proprietary noise silencer liquid would be better as it does not contain salt.

None of the treatments address the cause, the boiler is still scaled up, they just alter the surface tension of the water.

Slight is the word used.

X200 has already been tried anyway.

Agile I followed the far and got 0.040 x 321 = 12.84 KW. Not sure if that helps?

X200 was mentioned but I have already tried it without success. Is there any other products I should be looking at?
