My Henstead finest gold keeps going to lock out, if I switch it off at the mains & back on again it comes on again for a random amount of time. Also the hot water is hotter when you reduce the flow or fill the bath with the shower attachment instead of the tap. Any idea what's wrong are these 2 problems related? Thanks

Registered Gas Engineer required if you don't know anyone who can help try asking a neighbour for a recommendation - just make sure they are Registered Look at the engineer's Gas Safe ID card 
All you could check is the gas main isolation valve next to the meter, especially if it's in the under stairs cupboard.
We've seen these almost shut to the off position before, usually after being knocked by the hoover etc. Boiler fires up on hot water and there's not enough gas.
Otherwise its an RGI of course, as per above.
