Hello there. Just went to have a quick look at a failing 18 year old S.Duval combi. Permanant pilot is working fine but the boiler fails to light when called for dhw or ch. I know ther are a number of possibilities but my gut feeling is the gas valve, but did`nt know whether anybody had lots of experiance with these, thanks.

gut feeling says 18 year old sd wants replacing; you are throwing good money after bad trying to repair this.
