I'm having central heating put in shortly with possibly a Valent or Worcester boiler. I want the boiler postioned so that when I replace the kitchen in six months or so , i will be able to box it in completely with a kitchen unit to match everything else. I don't really want to see the boiler , flue or any pipe work if possible as I find it ugly. Where should it be placed so that this is easily achievable and it has the necessary access for servicing etc I have limited outside wall space in our first floor kitchen, basically a run of 1m 89 , right of a bay window This and the adjacent wall ( an inside wall at a right angle on the right ) with a run of 2m 22plus, will also have to accomodate the sink, washing machine, dishwasher and other base and wall cupboards. I am really concerned that I don't make any mistake with this . The only other outside space is an alcove between the chimney breast and the left side of the bay window which is 12cm deep on the chimney breast, 47cm deep corner to the bay widow corner and 83cm wide. It is altogether an awkward room with such little outside wall space, a low bay window a fireplace and two alcoves to work around.Does anyone have any ideas / tips that would help me decide where it should go to meet access requirements and be pleasing to look at and avoid making costly errors?. Any help gratefully received thanks.

With respect, I am sure that the kitchen fitter will adequately box in the pipes, magnetic filter, AND boiler.

Why not ask the installer? He can see the kitchen.
