My combi boiler (glowworm swiftflow) is permanently below the minimum pressure shown on the dial. it never raises above 0.2 bar and spends most of its time at 0. when the heating is active radiators on the bottom floor function well but a radiator upstairs doesn't get warm at all.

is the problem with the radiator due to lack of pressure or does it need bleeding?

should we get someone to give the boiler more pressure?

cheers

Its a user task to repressurise it to 1.5 Bar.

Look in the FAQ to see how to do it.

boiler needs to be at between 1 - 1.5bar. The reason why your upstairs rad isn't getting hot will probably be the reason why the boiler pressure is so low i.e. no water in it. BUT you won't be able to bleed it until you re-pressurise the system. Are there any damp patches on the ceiling downstairs below where that radiator is? if so you may have a leak on the pipework under the floorboards which is why that one radiator won't get warm as it is empty. if not then it will just be a case of re-pressurising the boiler then bleeding that radiator then finally topping the boiler back up.
