Had a Valliant ecotec 428 fitted 6 weeks ago and suddenly it is staying on (CH/HW) regardless of whether the programmer is on and room stat is low.The only way to turn it off is to cut the power to it.
I have renewed my programmer no effect and disconnected the room stat but still the boiler runs along with the pump.
Any ideas why?

For information the system is a Y plan.

Why did you not call the installer back in and get him to diagnose the cause of the problem :?: :?: :?:

Why spend money on a new programmer when you didn't know (but do now   ) that the programmer was at fault :?: :?: :?:

Check that the thermostat link wire has been removed from the boiler

IF it has only just happened then I would suspect the 3 port valve head is faulty.

Assuming this was replaced during the boiler change, then this will be under warranty as well.
