Hi,
I've been fitting a new bathroom and as part of this I've removed the old radiator and as a temporary measure until I have chance to fit a new one I've joined the radiator inlet / outlet together. before doing this I drained the heating system (with power turned off), then after completion I bled the air out of the radiators to remove any air locks. When I switched the water on after doing this however the gas flicked on and off 2 or 3 times, the pressure rose until the relief valve dumped water out. One thing I neglected to do before switching on was to bleed air out of the pump, which I have subsequently done, along with twisting the shaft with a screwdriver. After doing this the problem remains and I notice that the pump is very hot to the touch. I'm just looking for confirmation that the problem is likely the pump and if it is should I try and fix it or buy a new one + are they easy to fit? Could the cause be something other than the pump e.g. the expansion vessel?
I've a Bosch RX2
Thanks in advance
Rob
